2026 CRM Cost Report: HubSpot Starter Is $7 a Seat. Salesforce Enterprise Prints $175
Agencies still quote $50 a user. HubSpot Sales Hub Starter is $7 a seat on annual billing. Salesforce Sales Cloud Enterprise prints $175. HubSpot Professional sits at $90 plus a required $1,500 onboarding fee. Here is which SKU produced each number.
Agencies still quote $50 a user. HubSpot’s published Sales Hub Starter is $7 a seat on annual billing. Switch to Salesforce Sales Cloud Enterprise and the same question prints $175. HubSpot Sales Hub Professional sits at $90 — plus a required $1,500 onboarding fee. They are not arguing about pipelines. They are measuring different SKUs.
A “good” CRM budget is the number your vendor, your reseller, and your board treat as the same line item. It is not. HubSpot’s $7 is a limited-time Starter promo on the live sales-pricing page, next to a $20 monthly list. Salesforce’s $25 is Starter Suite. Its $100 is Pro Suite, billed annually. Its $175 is Enterprise. Zoho’s USD page prints $14 / $23 / $40 / $52 a user on annual billing, with a forever-free cut for three users. This report separates the samples, puts the sales seat next to the marketing platform and the bundle, and treats onboarding, Premier, contact tiers, and credits as different invoices from the sticker.
This is the CRM-cost post. For the envelope the license sits inside, see the SaaS marketing budget report. For the people who live in the tool, see B2B SDR cost and B2B AE cost. For the other software invoice that just printed this morning, see the 2026 SEO cost report. For the sequences the CRM is supposed to send, see the cold email reply-rate report.
Key Takeaways
- HubSpot’s Sales Hub page (fetched 23 August 2026) prints $0 for up to two users, Starter at $7/seat/month on annual billing next to $20 monthly, Professional at $90 annual / $100 monthly, and Enterprise at $150/seat. Professional onboarding is a required $1,500. Enterprise onboarding is a required $3,500. Do not treat $7 and $90 as two views of one product.
- Salesforce’s Sales pricing page prints Free Suite at $0, Starter Suite at $25/user/month (monthly or annual), Pro Suite at $100 (billed annually), Enterprise at $175, Unlimited at $350, and Agentforce 1 Sales at $550. Premier Success is 30% of net license fees. That 30% is not in the $175 cell.
- Zoho’s USD pricing page prints Standard $14, Professional $23, Enterprise $40, and Ultimate $52 per user per month, billed annually, with a forever-free edition for 3 users and “Free Onboarding” on the fetched page. Zoho CRM Plus starts at $20/user/month. Do not average $14, $90, and $175.
- HubSpot Marketing Hub is a different SKU. Live page: Professional $800/month annual / $890 monthly, 3 Core Seats, 2,000 marketing contacts, required $3,000 onboarding. Enterprise $3,600/month, 5 Core Seats, 10,000 contacts, required $7,000 onboarding. The catalog’s contact ladder bills $250 per 5,000 marketing contacts from 2,001–22,000 on Professional.
- HubSpot’s Customer Platform bundle is a third invoice: Professional $1,300/month annual / $1,450 monthly (6 seats); Enterprise $4,700/month (8 seats). Extra credits: $0.010 each.
- On a 10-seat year-one illustration from printed annual rates: Zoho Enterprise $4,800; HubSpot Sales Hub Professional $10,800 + $1,500 = $12,300; Salesforce Pro Suite $12,000; Salesforce Enterprise $21,000; Salesforce Enterprise plus Premier $27,300. Arithmetic from list prices, not a quote.
- HubSpot’s catalog: new Sales Hub customers after 5 March 2024 are priced per seat with no additional seat minimums. Do not staff a 2026 forecast off a five-seat Professional floor.
Three vendors, not one CRM price
Search “how much does a CRM cost 2026” and you will get $0, $7, $14, $25, $50, $90, $100, $150, and $175 on the same results page. The useful question is which SKU produced the number sitting next to it.
HubSpot, Sales Hub pricing, fetched 23 August 2026. Free tools: $0/month, up to 2 users, 1,000 contacts. Starter: $7/seat/month billed annually, $20 billed monthly, 500 HubSpot Credits — the page banners “Save up to 65% on Starter” for new customers, limited time. Professional: $90/seat/month annual, $100 monthly, 3,000 credits, required one-time onboarding $1,500. Enterprise: $150/seat/month, 5,000 credits, required onboarding $3,500. This is a sales-seat price. Sequences, pipelines, and forecasting live here. Marketing automation does not.
Salesforce, Sales / Agentforce Sales pricing, fetched 23 August 2026. Free Suite $0. Starter Suite $25 USD/user/month, billed monthly or annually. Pro Suite $100, billed annually. Enterprise $175, billed annually. Unlimited $350. Agentforce 1 Sales $550. Premier Success Plan: 30% of net license fees (bundled with Unlimited). Agentforce for Sales add-on: from $125/user/month. Web Services API on Pro Suite: additional $25/user/month. The page says it is for information only and subject to change.
Zoho, USD CRM pricing (value-centric page, fetched 23 August 2026). Standard $14/user/month billed annually. Professional $23. Enterprise $40. Ultimate $52. Free edition for 3 users. Banner: Free Onboarding. Zoho CRM Plus starts at $20/user/month. The geo-default pricing URL prints rupees; USD figures here are the dollars printed on the fetched page. Paid plans are pay-as-you-go, monthly or yearly, no lock-in.
If your board is using $50 and checkout prints $175, you are disagreeing about the SKU. Do not average 7, 14, 25, 90, 100, and 175. Write vendor, edition, and annual versus monthly at the top of the slide.
Seat, platform, and bundle are not one price
HubSpot prints a sales seat, a marketing platform, and an all-hubs bundle on three different URLs. Mixing them is how a $90 AE license becomes a “$1,300 CRM budget” that was actually Customer Platform Professional.
| Sample / cut | Monthly (annual billing unless noted) | What is included | What it is not |
|---|---|---|---|
| HubSpot Sales Hub Free | $0 | 2 users, 1,000 contacts | A paid sales workspace |
| HubSpot Sales Hub Starter | $7/seat (promo) / $20 monthly list | Per-seat Starter, 500 credits | Professional sequences |
| HubSpot Sales Hub Professional | $90/seat + $1,500 onboarding | Per-seat Pro, 3,000 credits | Marketing Hub |
| HubSpot Sales Hub Enterprise | $150/seat + $3,500 onboarding | Per-seat Enterprise, 5,000 credits | The $4,700 bundle |
| HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional | $800/mo + $3,000 onboarding | 3 Core Seats, 2,000 marketing contacts | A sales-seat price |
| HubSpot Customer Platform Professional | $1,300/mo | 6 seats, 5,000 credits | A single-hub license |
| Salesforce Starter Suite | $25/user | Sales + service + marketing + commerce starter | Enterprise pipeline tools |
| Salesforce Pro Suite | $100/user, annual | Quoting, forecasting | Conversation intelligence (add-on) |
| Salesforce Enterprise | $175/user, annual | Advanced pipeline, APIs, Agentforce available | Premier (30% extra) |
| Salesforce Unlimited | $350/user, annual | Predictive AI, Premier bundled | Agentforce 1 |
| Zoho CRM Free | $0 | 3 users | Paid automation |
| Zoho CRM Standard | $14/user, annual | Paid starter CRM | Enterprise hierarchy |
| Zoho CRM Enterprise | $40/user, annual | Multi-team, sandbox, ABM | Salesforce Enterprise |
HubSpot’s $90 and Salesforce’s $100 are cousins: both are the mid-tier sales SKU on annual billing. They are not HubSpot Marketing Hub at $800, and not Salesforce Enterprise at $175. Zoho’s $40 Enterprise is not Salesforce’s $175 in a cheaper font.
Do not divide HubSpot Customer Platform Professional ($1,300) by six seats and call it the CRM unit cost. That arithmetic is about $217 a seat, which is not the printed Sales Hub Professional $90 and not Sales Hub Enterprise $150. HubSpot published all three. Use the sales-seat row for reps, the Marketing Hub row for demand gen, and the bundle row when the quote is literally Customer Platform.
The $90 seat is not the $800 platform
Two B2B numbers get treated as one: the per-user CRM, and the marketing automation platform that happens to include a CRM.
HubSpot Sales Hub Professional is $90 a seat on annual billing. Ten AEs: $900 a month, $10,800 a year, plus $1,500 required onboarding in year one — $12,300. The same vendor’s Marketing Hub Professional is $800 a month for three Core Seats and 2,000 marketing contacts, plus $3,000 required onboarding. Year one: $12,600 before a fourth marketer or a contact overage. Those invoices can land in the same month. They are not two views of $90.
Contact tiers move Marketing Hub more than seats do. HubSpot’s catalog prices extra Professional marketing contacts at $250 per 5,000 per month from 2,001 to 22,000, then $225, $200, $175, and $150. At 22,000 marketing contacts the ladder is $800 + $1,000 = $1,800 a month — $21,600 a year, plus $3,000 onboarding. Non-marketing contacts are free up to 15 million. Do not staff a 50,000-name outbound file as 50,000 marketing contacts unless those records will be emailed and advertised to.
Salesforce does the same split with add-ons instead of hubs. Enterprise at $175 does not include Premier. Premier is 30% of net license fees. Ten Enterprise seats: $1,750 a month, $21,000 a year. Add Premier: $27,300. Add the Agentforce for Sales SKU at $125 and the arithmetic leaves the $175 cell. Agentforce 1 Sales at $550 is a different edition, not Enterprise with a plugin. Ten seats: $66,000 a year at list. Pro Suite’s API is another $25/user/month. Ten Pro seats that need the API: $1,250 a month, not $1,000.
Zoho’s $14 / $23 / $40 / $52 file is the SMB row if the product fits. Ten Enterprise seats: $400 a month, $4,800 a year, free onboarding on the fetched page. That is 39% of HubSpot Sales Hub Professional’s $12,300 year-one illustration and 23% of Salesforce Enterprise’s $21,000 license year. It is not proof Zoho replaces Salesforce Unlimited. It is proof $175 is the wrong row for a three-person shop.
Annual versus monthly is the other cut. HubSpot Starter $7 versus $20 is a 65% gap on the same page. Sales Hub Professional $90 versus $100. Marketing Hub Professional $800 versus $890. Salesforce Starter can be monthly; Pro and above are billed annually. Zoho’s USD figures here are annual. A “$20 HubSpot” quote can be Starter monthly list or folklore. Ask which.
Onboarding, Premier, and credits
List price is the subscription. Year-one cash is the subscription plus the fees the pricing page already disclosed.
HubSpot requires onboarding on Professional and Enterprise. Sales: $1,500 / $3,500. Marketing: $3,000 / $7,000. Starter has no required onboarding on the fetched sales page. Solutions Partners are a different invoice; none is invented.
Salesforce does not print a mandatory dollar onboarding fee. It does print Premier at 30% of net license fees. Implementation is acknowledged without a public number. Do not invent a partner row. Do not pretend year-one Salesforce cash equals 12 × $175.
Credits are a third product. HubSpot: $0.010 per credit ($9 per 1,000 on annual). Allotments are not additive across Hubs. Sales Hub Professional includes 3,000; Customer Platform Professional 5,000. Prospecting agent: 100 credits per recommended outreach. Extra packs: $10 per 1,000. Salesforce Agentforce 1 includes 1 million Flex Credits and 2.5 million Data Cloud credits per org per year — a different meter, on a $550 seat.
Free tiers are small. HubSpot: 2 users, 1,000 contacts. Salesforce: Free Suite $0, plus a 30-day paid-edition trial. Zoho: 3 users, forever. A founder on HubSpot Free is not “below the $90 average.” There is no $90 average. $90 is Professional.
What to put on the slide
CRM is not the 8% of ARR in the marketing budget report. That 8% is the whole marketing line. At $5 million ARR the median private B2B SaaS company has about $400,000 for marketing. The CRM license is a tools slice. The SDR seat is already about $121,000 fully loaded. Median AE OTE is $200,000, and only 48% hit quota. Ten Salesforce Enterprise seats at $21,000 a year are about one-tenth of one AE’s OTE. The SEO cost report’s Clutch monthly mean is $3,199.19 — an agency retainer, not a CRM.
- Pick the SKU. HubSpot Sales Hub Starter $7 annual promo / $20 monthly. Professional $90 / $100 plus $1,500. Enterprise $150 plus $3,500. Salesforce $25 / $100 / $175 / $350 / $550. Zoho $14 / $23 / $40 / $52, free for three. Marketing Hub $800 / $3,600. Customer Platform $1,300 / $4,700. Do not staff a US B2B sales forecast off $50 or off $7.
- Lock annual versus monthly, then lock onboarding. HubSpot Pro year-one for 10 seats: $12,300. Salesforce Enterprise 10 seats: $21,000 license, $27,300 with Premier. Zoho Enterprise 10 seats: $4,800. Arithmetic from printed rates.
- Lock sales seat versus marketing platform versus bundle. $90 is a rep. $800 is demand gen with three seats and 2,000 marketing contacts. $1,300 is six-seat Customer Platform. Salesforce $175 is Enterprise sales, not Marketing Cloud.
- Convert the license to a share of the people cost before you convert it to pipeline. Ten HubSpot Sales Hub Pro seats are $10,800 a year — about 9% of one fully loaded US SDR seat, about 5% of one median AE OTE. Ten Salesforce Enterprise seats are $21,000 — about 17% of that SDR seat. The tool is not the headcount.
- Do not treat a CRM license as a paid-media KPI. Sequences inside Sales Hub Professional are a sending tool. The cold email reply-rate report’s 3.4–3.7% sequencer averages measure replies over cold sends, not CRM list price. None of the primaries here measured win rate.
Circle $7 / $90 / $150 (HubSpot Sales Hub), $800 / $1,300 / $3,600 / $4,700 (HubSpot platform and bundle), $25 / $100 / $175 / $350 / $550 (Salesforce), and $14 / $23 / $40 / $52 (Zoho) on the same slide as billing term and onboarding. If those numbers do not fit, the $50 quote was never your number. Change the SKU.
FAQ
How much does a CRM cost in 2026?
There is no single 2026 all-vendor CRM price. HubSpot Sales Hub: $0 (2 users), $7 annual promo / $20 monthly, $90 / $100 Professional, $150 Enterprise, plus $1,500 or $3,500 required onboarding. Salesforce: $25, $100, $175, $350, $550 per user. Zoho USD annual: $14, $23, $40, $52, free for three. Name the vendor and the edition first.
What is a good CRM budget for a B2B or SaaS team?
Match who sits in the tool. Two founders: HubSpot Free or Zoho Free. Ten-person mid-tier sales: HubSpot Sales Hub Professional (~$12,300 year one) or Salesforce Pro Suite ($12,000). Salesforce Enterprise: $21,000 license, $27,300 with Premier. HubSpot demand gen: Marketing Hub Professional $800 a month plus $3,000 onboarding, then the contact ladder. HubSpot did not print a SaaS row; none is invented.
Why is HubSpot at $7 or $90 when Salesforce prints $175?
Different edition and different product. $7 is HubSpot Starter promo. $90 is Sales Hub Professional. $175 is Salesforce Enterprise. Compare Starter to Starter ($7–$20 vs $25 vs Zoho $14) and mid-tier to mid-tier ($90 vs $100 vs Zoho $23). Do not average them.
Does a $0 CRM mean the category got cheaper?
No. HubSpot Free is two users and 1,000 contacts. Zoho Free is three users. Salesforce Free Suite is a separate SKU from Enterprise. Professional onboarding, Premier, contact overages, and credits still sit on the paid invoices. Score the quote on edition, billing term, and add-ons — then on the dollar.
Is this the same as an SEO retainer or a marketing budget?
No. Every primary here is published software list price. The SEO cost report measures agency and freelancer retainers (Clutch $3,199.19 a month). The marketing budget report’s 8% of ARR is the whole marketing line. You cannot convert $90 a seat into $90 of pipeline without naming win rate.
Methodology
Figures are from the primaries below, fetched 23 August 2026. No number is averaged across vendors. Rows are only those the source printed. Salesforce did not print a public dollar implementation fee; none is invented. Zoho rupee prices are not converted; USD figures come from the page that printed dollars.
- HubSpot, Sales Hub pricing: $0 / $7 / $20 / $90 / $100 / $150 and required $1,500 / $3,500 onboarding. Marketing Hub: $800 / $890 / $3,600 and $3,000 / $7,000 onboarding. Customer Platform: $1,300 / $1,450 / $4,700. Product & Services Catalog: no Sales Hub seat minimum after 5 March 2024; marketing-contact ladder; $0.010 credits.
- Salesforce, Sales pricing: $0 / $25 / $100 / $175 / $350 / $550, Premier 30%, Agentforce for Sales from $125, Pro Suite API $25/user/month.
- Zoho, USD CRM pricing: $14 / $23 / $40 / $52 billed annually, 3-user free edition, free onboarding, CRM Plus from $20/user/month.
Ten-seat year-one figures are arithmetic from printed annual rates plus printed required onboarding. Starter $7 is the promo on the fetched HubSpot page as of 23 August 2026; the same page still prints $20 monthly list.
